We’re pleased to announce that Juley Howard will be joined by Lora Johnson at this discussion on non-violent protest.
Lora is a single mother to a 7 year-old, a poet, an activist and a supporter of Just Stop Oil. Arrested 3 times in 2019 for Extinction Rebellion, it was her first arrest for Just Stop Oil that went viral as she told the camera “I’m doing this for my son”
Being aware of how perilously close we are to real food shortages, Lora wants to help set up a Right to Grow campaign. She moved to Bristol 3 months ago has just started to perform her poetry under the stage name of The Abyss, and says “It’s widely accepted that the revolution will start in Bristol and it’s an exciting time to be alive here, on the cusp of political and social change”.
