Doris Hatt: Art, Politics and Principles

Doris Hatt: Art, Politics and Principles – Theatre Shop Thursday 13 October 2022 7.30pm

This was another chance to hear Stephen Lisney’s talk and, we are pleased to say, it was a sell out!

Doris Hatt lived her life according to strong principles and on occasions would use her paintings to subtly make a point. This talk outlined her life as an artist in Clevedon and illustrated how she used her art to reflect her views. Stephen Lisney co-authored the book Doris Hatt – Revolutionary Artist (2019) for the South West Heritage Trust.
