Clevedon LitFest and The Theatre Shop in association with Living Spit Events present
The Four Reasons – Spring Awakening
Thursday 21 March 7.30pm – Tickets £15 from The Theatre Shop
“Come and revel in the promise of spring – Dive into familiar and unknown treasures, revealing the warming of the year through our word and sound collective.
Multi-instrumentalist Martin Solomon’s harp and violin solo sets fuse Celtic and Indian traditions, as well as accompanying storyteller Michael Loader as he races towards the sea with a story of that springtime archetype the Golden Hare. Michael will also be sharing his new story, a hymn to the wild, inspired by the Wodwose (or Wodwo as Ted Hughes called it).
An (almost) daffodil-free zone with poets Isabel White, Alys Denny and Robin Kidson taking a sideways take on surprising and unusual aspects of Spring.
This event is the first in an exciting new series of four evenings – The Four Reasons – exploring, discovering and celebrating the most important seasonal moments of the year through storytelling, poetry, song and music.
The interval will be presided over by The Clevedon Distillery with free seasonal tastings.
